VITAMIN THAT PROTECTS WOMEN'S BREAST CANCER

Cura pela Natureza

This vitamin is essential for maintaining the mineral balance in the body.

Her blood deficiency increases by approximately four times the chance of falls, bone fractures, depressive symptoms, colon cancer, and cognitive (memory and reasoning) problems.

In addition to cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack, thrombosis and stroke.

What vitamin are we talking about?
You'll know.

According to a study by the Fluminense Federal University, about 60% of the Brazilian population has vitamin D deficiency, even though Brazil is a tropical country with a high solar incidence in May part of the year.
That's alarming, right?
Vitamin D also protects the blood flow and cleanses the body of toxins, including the amyloid proteins associated with Alzheimer's disease, promoting better functioning of the body as a whole.

But a new finding related to the consequences of vitamin D deficiency in the blood has been generating even more warning: a study by University of California researchers suggests that low levels of vitamin D in the blood are associated with an increased risk of breast cancer.

And this type of cancer, after the skin, is the most common among women in Brazil and the world.

The experts responsible for the epidemiological study, published in the journal PLoS ONE, identified a healthy minimum level of 25 (OH) D in blood plasma at 60 nanograms per milliliter, substantially higher than the 20 ng / ml recommended in 2010 by the National Academy of Medicine , an American health advisory group.

Participants with blood levels of 25 (OH) D above 60 ng / ml had a much lower risk of developing breast cancer compared to those with less than 20 ng / ml.

Information from two clinical trials was gathered to examine the association between the risk of female breast cancer and a wide range of serum concentrations of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25 (OH) D), which is the main form of vitamin D in the blood.

All the women evaluated were 55 years of age or older and at the beginning of the study did not present any type of cancer.

They were followed for an average of four years and blood vitamin D levels were measured during the visits.

77 new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed for an age-adjusted incidence rate of 512 cases per 100,000 person-years.

But it is important to say that this study was limited to postmenopausal breast cancer.

Further research is needed to know if high levels of 25 (OH) D can prevent or not cancer at this stage.

Chicken liver

Bull's liver

butter

Egg yolk

You can also consume a good vitamin D supplement after consulting your doctor or nutritionist, of course.

Sunbathing, however, is the best way to nourish yourself with this vitamin.

Now pay attention: for better absorption of vitamin D, correct sun exposure is from 7am to 9am and from 4pm to 5pm for 10 to 15 minutes.
