Veganism vs. Vegetarianism: What's the Difference?
Veganism or strict vegetarianism:
philosophy's adherents aim to protect animals in many ways and this means more than not eating any kind of meat.
Vegans do not use anything of animal origin, not even clothes or cosmetics that have been tested on bugs.
Vegetarianism:
contrary to what one might imagine, it does not mean eating vegetables alone.
The origin of the name comes from the word vegetable, which in Latin means healthy. The diet excludes any food product that promotes animal suffering. Meats and derivatives are not part of the vegetarian dish, which may, however, contain milk, eggs and dairy products.
